Still don't get the whole Terasem business.

Terasem's "mindfile" idea, from what I've managed to parse out of its literature, makes prescientific assumptions about the mind. The behavior we emit and can record doesn't really show how the mind works because, frankly, our conscious experience didn't evolve to allow us to understand ourselves. A scientifically defensible mindfile project would require a substantial amount of recorded functional neuroimaging, like you could generate by performing a series of cognitive tasks under an fMRI to build up a model of what really happens in your brain. I don't know if neuroscience has gotten to the level to make that practical and affordable yet. I rather hope it comes online soon, however, because it could serve as an adjunct to cryonics that a future health care system would know how to make use of in the revival process.
